Credit card plays a vital role among the working professionals and has a permanent place in the wallet of both men and women. I am not an exception to this and I too have credit cards from HDFC, Citi Bank, HSBC and SBI.
I subscribed and received a Citi Bank Platinum Plus credit card. I am using this credit card for more than 12 months. I made many purchases and converted in to EMIs also.
As usual like other credit card providers, Citi Bank credit card also has billing date and payment due date and minimum payment amount. I have paid the minimum payment amount but in that billing cycle I was not able to pay the total billed amount.
Customer care torture
Since I failed to make the payment and also that week was the last week in the month. First time Citi bank credit card executive called and advised to make the payment immediately else finance charges will be levied on the card.
Yes I agree that is the duty of such professionals. I somehow managed to make a part payment.
Again I got a call to my mobile phone regarding the payment. I clearly explained I don’t have money and after salary credited I will make the entire payment. They told this call is for quality purpose and your voice is being recorded. Its Ok that is also their duty.
Believe me, before making the full payment, DAILY 6-7 CALLS TO MY MOBILE PHONE and 6-7 CALLS TO MY LANDLINE PHONE. Imagine you are in an office and receiving such calls and answering always the same period of payment.
Daily they called me and tortured to make the payment. Really it was a Hell Experience. After getting irritated how will you concentrate in your work that too official team meetings, discussions, family etc.
My sincere advice is PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT CITI BANK CREDIT CARD. DON’T BUY/GET CITI BANK CREDIT CARD.
Please don’t think that I am writing this against Citi Bank, I have 100% honest and real proofs. Let the Citi Bank Credit Card division learn from other credit card providers how to deal with the customer and how to collect the credit card payments. Get Last!
